Good news! I've found a healthy library distraction called Library Thing. I only have about two or three shelves catalogued so far, but I'm enjoying myself a lot. I'll leave a widget or two here, so you can see new books as they arrive, as well as a random collection.
When I've got a few more books catalogued, I'll probably add the author and category tag clouds, but at the moment they are a little meaningless.
Eventually, in addition to my shiny new Library Thing I'd like to have a proper reading room with the capacity for people to leave scribbled notes in the corners of the pages. However, LT also has room for that sort of thing, so maybe I can make use of that somehow. Anyway, I've popped a couple of stories (about stories) on the shelf of the 'temporary' reading room. temporary... Hah, yeah right, we all know what that means.
The Story of the Stack of Xanth Books Come Home. (Xanth Series, by Piers Anthony).
The Story of the Travelling Amber Eyed Book. (Eyes of Amber and Other Stories, by Joan d. Vinge).
"She spun her web of words and shuffled back into the rustling pages to await her prey."
