The following images are largely of my own feet and hands, in different locations around the world. I've always taken photos of my feet and, to a lesser degree, my hands. I'm not sure why, but I do know that it started about 20 years ago when I was camping on my own out in the middle of nowhere and I'd been taking photos of everything I could find, but none of it had me in it. So, I had no proof that I'd actually been there at all. Deciding it was far too hard to take a photo of my face while balanced precariously on a cliff edge, I sat down, stuck my foot over the edge and snapped away.
These photos are just a sample from the last 12 months or so. You really wouldn't like to see how many I've taken over the last two decades.
"I had climbed high hills, traversed untold miles of scrub, and gone in all directions to try and pick up the channel of a wretched dry creek, when all of a sudden I stumbled upon a perfect little paradise."
- Ernest Giles, Australia Twice Traversed
